Stepped geometry

The stepped fret is one of the oldest repeating motifs there is, and it works because every line turns at the same angle. Tiled across a shirt it produces a grid that feels architectural rather than decorative.

Ours, not a copy

The construction is drawn from scratch in the tradition's logic rather than lifted from a specific artefact. We take that seriously — the motifs belong to living cultures, and the drawing is our own reading of them.
