The seed itself
Rudraksha are the stones of a tree that grows across South and Southeast Asia, deeply grooved so that each bead looks carved. The grooves divide it into faces, and the count of faces carries meaning in the tradition.
Texture is the subject
There is no motif to draw here beyond the surface. The whole pattern is the ridging, repeated at the scale of a bead, which gives it an unusual density.
