Mudra

Hands held in mudra — the ritual gestures of Hindu and Buddhist practice — drawn as a repeating field. Ten pieces carry it, including t-shirts.

Gesture as symbol

A mudra is a hand position with meaning, used in practice and in iconography across Asia for millennia. Each one reads differently, which gives the repeat variety that a single motif could not.

Drawn, not traced

Our hands are drawn from scratch in that visual tradition. The gestures are recognisable; the rendering is ours.

What it comes on

T-shirts, shirts and accessories. The hands need space around them, so this one runs lighter than most of our prints.
