Hempi
Hemp leaves, drawn as a botanical repeat rather than a logo — the whole leaf, its structure, and the negative space between. Printed across fourteen pieces including button up shirts and tobacco pouches.
Botanical, not a slogan
The point was to draw the plant properly — seven leaflets, the serration, the way the veins run — and let the pattern be a pattern. It reads as a leaf print first, which is the difference between a shirt you wear anywhere and one you do not.
The repeat
Leaves alternate direction so the field never forms rows. It is the same trick used in traditional botanical wallpaper, and it is what stops the eye from finding the grid.
What it comes on
Button up shirts, tobacco pouches, and accessories. The tobacco pouch is the obvious pairing and it is the one people buy first.
