Eyesee
Eyes — dozens of them, open and layered into a repeating field that watches back. One of our most worn prints, across thirty-one pieces including button up shirts and boardshorts.
The oldest motif there is
The eye turns up in Egyptian, Turkish, Indian and Central American work, usually as protection. We are not claiming any one of those traditions — we drew ours because an eye is the one shape a person cannot ignore.
Repetition is the point
A single eye is a graphic. A field of them becomes texture, and the effect changes with distance: pattern from across a room, portrait up close.
What it comes on
Short and long sleeve button up shirts in black, boardshorts, women's wallets, and shirts in blue. It is a print that suits a full garment rather than a small accessory.
